The Mystery Creek vineyard, just south of Hamilton, is our home block, first planted in 1990.
Viticulture
The Meddoza and Clone 6 grapes were grown using the two-cane VSP model.
The wine
The grapes were hand harvested at optimum ripeness, whole bunch pressed and barrel fermented in new and some older predominantly French barriques and puncheons. The integration of ripe fruit and oak has developed a well balanced wine which will cellar for 3-5 years.
Packaging
Because we refuse to comprise on quality this wine is sealed with a screw cap.
