Cellardoor

The story so far….

In November 2007 after the completion of the Woodbox Restaurant, we began construction of the cellardoor and new winemaking facility. As part of the overall development of the winery, the cellardoor will be dedicated to serving retail customers interested in buying wine, Riedel glassware and wine associated merchandise such as branded cheeseboards, wine-knives, caps, shirts etc.

A completion date of April 2008 is expected and introductory special offers will be available once the building has been finished.

The winemaking plant will have the ability to produce up to 25,000 cases of wine at any one time, with extra stainless steel tank capacity arriving soon to cope with the extra volume.

The main variety of the 2008 harvest will be Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, grown at our vineyard in Marlborough’s Waihopai valley. We will also collect juice from Gisborne, Coromandel, Clevedon and of course our Home Block to complete the range of wines.
